    Morning Roundup...

You don't even have to point out the fact that my blogging has been lackluster as of late. I know... Life has been very hectic, and if all goes according to plan, I'll be able to explain myself very, very soon... So just pray!

A quick roundup of things I thought were entertaining and/or fabulous while I had one eye on the blogosphere:

      Magazine Covers:
    • Katy Perry covers Paper Mag, and looks fabulous while doing it...
    • Drew Barrymore looks stunning on this month's issue of Gotham Magazine. This woman has truly evolved. I can't wait to watch Grey Gardens this month!!
    • Lil' Wayne graces the front of Rolling Stone.

      On The Movie Scene:

    • Zac Efron is out & Chace Crawford is in? I, for one, would love to see Chace step into Kevin Bacon's old cowboy boots and get footloose and fancy-free. He hasn't really done more than look really pretty and smolder silently off the screen. I'm ready for a singing, dancing version.
    • Nikki Reed is getting awfully cozy with Rob Pattinson these days? Hmmm...
    • The chocolatey goodness that is Darrin Henson sat down with Bossip and talked movies, his career, and what the perfect woman would be like.

      Fashion Buzz:

    • Have you met Damian Finch? This buzzed about up and coming designer is truly a cut above... he's only 12! Check out his Fall '09 LookBook.

      New Music MondayThursday:

    • Check out "Welcome to the World", a new song from Kevin Rudolf ft. KiD CuDi... Personally, it fails to impress me. As predictable as it is boring.

I Don't Care What Anyone Says...

    ciara

... but Ciara is looking fabulous and very non-tranny-like these days. I'm loving everything about this look--it's simple but fun! I definitely dig everything from the ruffled jersey skirt to the accessories-- red gloves and red bottoms!

So whether she's been delving into the Secrets of the Wig Crypt and borrowing BeYaki's steez or not, she is definitely doing the d@mn thing. Beyonce's star is fading anyway. Let's just embrace that fact and move on.

    Quote of the Day

    lady gaga

“I’m a pop singer. I don’t like food at all.”
-My favorite tran, Lady Gaga, on the subject of her favorite food

    Happy Tuesday...? ...!

Woke up this morning from the creepiest dream everrr!! Some weird egg-shaped man was stalking me!! I was shuddering for at least 10 minutes after waking up!! Is that what happens when you fall asleep listening to Iron & Wine??

Anyway, in honor of waking up and discovering that it was all just a dream and my life is not, in fact, in peril at the hands of the egg-man, I leave you with the following five fun facts:

    • Today in 1889, the Eiffel Tower was inaugurated in Paris. 54 years later, Christopher Walken was born in Queens. 52 years after that, that crazy lady killed Selena. Oh March 31st, you sadden and amaze us simultaneously...
    • The food industry continues to try and kill us all off with salmonella.
    • Oprah's South African boarding school just got scandalous, again! I totally get that adolescence is the time for sexperimentation, but come on, forcing other girls to do stuff with/to/for you?? Yikes...
    • This Chris Brown-Rihanna situation is giving me whiplash. Cooperating or not cooperating? Together and working it out, or taking a break and dating other people? I. Just. Don't. Get. It. That girl needs to release a statement so that the young girls that look up to her can figure out what message she's really trying to send, instead of having to decipher one from all of the mixed media.
    • Isaiah Washington could use a paycheck. He and his wife were reportedly evicted from their home. So sad... Edit: apparently, they moved out before they were thrown out, so they weren't evicted.

Because I Like to Be Practical AND Fashionable

If you're not yet convinced that fashion makes the world go round, feast your eyes upon this little gem: The Fashion Wrist Cuff that doubles as a coffee sleeve!! I believe in looking good, stimulating the economy, and going green! So next time you go into your local Starbucks (or Dunkin Donuts, whatever's clever), you can tell that Barista that you don't want to participate in the wasting of precious resources. No, instead you will slide that cuff made from reclaimed black walnut veneer that you bought for $65 plus tax, shipping, and handling, and you will smile knowing that you are better than everyone else because you care.
